Body found in caravan after blaze in Castleford

Police are investigating after a body was found in a caravan following a blaze in Castleford.

The body was found in the caravan just after 4am today (Saturday when police were called by the fire service to the blaze in a storage yard in Navigation Road.

Detectives from West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiries Team are conducting enquiries into the incident and the cause of the fire, which is also being investigated by the fire service.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, which can be contacted anonymously, on 0800 555111.
