A contestant from Leeds, Nadiya Jamir, is still in the running on this year’s Great British Bake Off.
The 30-year-old has been baking for the last decade.
Her family is originally from Bangladesh, and Nadiya was encouraged to bake by a school home economics teacher.
Nadiya, who was born in Luton, lives in Leeds with her husband and is a full-time mum to their three children.
She was named the Star Baker in the Free From week after impressing Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry with her impressive pitta bread.
Find out how Nadiya and her fellow contestants fare on this week’s episode - which looks at recipes popular in Victorian times - on Wednesday at 8pm on BBC One.
