Arrests in Batley drugs sting

Three men have been arrested in Batley on suspicion of drugs offences.

West Yorkshire Police’s Operation Quartz team carried out an operation on Tuesday afternoon following concerns raised by members of the public in relation to drug related activity. 

A black Volkswagen Golf was seen around Warehouse Street acting suspiciously and following a search, police arrested of three men aged 19, 21 and 22 from the area.  

A quantity of Class A and B drugs, numerous mobile telephones and a substantial quantity of cash were seized.  

The three men have been released on bail pending further investigations.
