Yorkshire rockers Arctic Monkeys are set for a return visit to Leeds Festival.

The rock stars, who headlined the festival in 2009, will take to the main stage at Bramham Park this summer.

Their first single I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor shot to the top of the charts in 2005 and they are celebrating their recent nomination for Best British Band at the upcoming BRIT Awards.

Speaking to NME about Reading and Leeds, Matt Helders said: “We’ve got a lot of history with the festival. It’s the first festival I ever went to – we all went together as kids, with Nick as well.”

The Courteeners will also join the line-up alongside The 1975 and rockers You Me At Six.

Radio One DJ Annie Mac, SBTRKT and female quartet Warpaint will also play at the festival, between August 22 to 24.

American rockers Blink 182 were announced as Leeds Festival’s first headliner.
