Alert over Leeds City Council tax refund scam
Leeds residents are being urged to be vigilant over a council tax refund scam.
Council chiefs say they have been made aware of householders receiving bogus emails which appear to be from the authority.
The emails offer a Council Tax refund and ask people to follow a link and to confirm bank details.

Hide AdA spokesman for Leeds City Council said: “It is important that you DO NOT follow the link or input your bank details. Leeds City Council will never send emails asking for bank details in relation to a Council Tax refund. If you do receive an email and have concerns that it may not be genuine please let us know.”
