DIVERSIONS will be in place while survey works and maintenance are carried out on the A1 motorway.
The Highways Agency will be carrying out works on the A1(M) between Junction 43 (Hook Moor) and A1(M) Junction 42 (Selby Fork) from Monday, January 17, for two weeks.
The northbound carriageway will be shut overnight between 10pm and 5am from January 17 to 23 and the southbound carriageway overnight from January 24 to 30. During the closures, general maintenance work will also be carried out.
Motorists are asked to look for diversion routes which will be in place.
Drivers going north on the A1(M) will exit the motorway at Junction 42 (Selby Fork) and follow the A63 to Leeds and A656 to Junction 47 (Parlington), where traffic will join the M1 northbound.
Traffic wishing to continue south on the A1(M) will join the M1 at Hook Moor and continue south to Junction 47 (Parlington) and exit the motorway.
Traffic will follow the A656 to Castleford, A63 to Selby and rejoin the A1(M) southbound at Junction 42.
