The ‘virtual’ event calls for runners from all corners of the UK to choose the date, the location, the distance they want to run and to complete it any time during May.

Brake fundraiser Joe Fenton, of Cross Gates, said: “The idea is that it is your run – which is a wonderful concept as it means that anybody and everybody can take part – because what you do is up to you. Last year’s event raised thousands for Brake and we hope to do the same in 2017.”

See www.brake.org.uk/virtualrun for details of how to enter.
