YOUR TRIBUTES

Rich was a lovely guy with such a positive attitude to work and life. I feel extremely honoured to have worked with Rich as a colleague, and to have known him as a friend. He was an inspiration to us all…and he will be sadly missed.

Rich was the most wonderful son any parent could have and brought much joy and happiness into all our lives. We are devastated at the thought of never seeing his smiling face again. Our and Ellie's loss is immeasurable.
We would like to thank all of Rich's friends and colleagues for their condolences and kind words.
Rich's funeral will be held at St James Church in Pyle, Bridgend, South Wales at 1pm Friday 10th July. This will be a celebration of Rich's life and for those attending black clothing is not deemed necessary.
Anybody who would like to make a donation in Richard's memory is requested to donate to Cancer Research UK. His page is in the process of being set up on http://donateinmemory.cancerresearchuk.org.

Going into work each day just isn't the same without Rich there. I don't think I need to say what a great guy he was nor how much we are all missing him. Thankyou to Ellie and to Rich's family for inviting us to his service, it meant a lot to be there. My heart goes out to you.

Ive known Rich for a few years as a work colleague and always found him to be a really top bloke. Whether talking about work, football or anything else, he was always the same friendly, funny, generous and helpful.

A tragic loss of a genuinely good guy. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

Rich and I studied Maths together at Leeds Uni. I bumped into him on the first day at uni, when we both couldn't find the room we had a meeting in.
From then, our friendship started. I last saw Rich end of May when I came up to Leeds. As ever, he was in good spirits and we had a good catch up - we even talked through the Newcastle football club issues, which he was extremely passionate about.

Rich was a good man, who had a good sense of humour, was intelligent, extremely caring towards others and also a down to earth guy. He taught me many things and I'll never forget him.

He will be missed by everyone that knew him. My thoughts are with his fiance Ellie, and his family. Rest in peace mate.

Regards,

Hamal Jilka

I knew Rich from our days together at the University of Leeds. He really was the nicest guy you could ever meet and I think myself very lucky to have been his friend.

I'll always remember him with a smile on his face because I don't think I ever saw him without one.
