Amost three months ago the people of Leeds were asked to submit self-created images capturing some of the essence of their city.
They were shown as part of the Strangely Familiar exhibition on Whitehall Waterfront which displayed the work of two photographers Eric Jaquier and Peter Mitchell.

In partnership with the Yorkshire Evening Post they invited contributions from the public which would either include easily identifiable images of the city, more obscure scenes snapped or simple portraits of Loiners.

What they accumulated was a collection of around 300 images which in combination created a montage of Leeds's long and proud history.
Now those entries have been whittled down to a shortlist of ten and we're asking readers to vote for the photograph which they feel is the best.
