A third charity run is to be held in memory of a Leeds student who died when she fell from a window while trying to help a neighbour.
Alice Redmond, who was studying for a degree in events management at Leeds Metropolitan University, was 21 when she died in 2005.
She fell 30ft from the window of her building in Kelso Road, Woodhouse, Leeds, while trying to assist a neighbour who was locked out.

After Alice's death, a run was started in her memory by Yeadon-based Epilepsy Action, where she had done a year's student placement.

This year will be the third that hundreds of participants run
10 kilometres through the Calder Valley countryside, not far
from Blackshaw Head near Hebden Bridge, where Alice was from.

Philippa Corner, Epilepsy Action's events manager, said: "For the past two years, Alice's Run has proved very popular.

Last year's run attracted 250 runners and raised over £6,000.

"Alice was an asset to the Epilepsy Action team, and we're determined to make this year's race just as successful as a fitting tribute to her memory."

Alice's mother, Liv Redmond, added: "Alice enjoyed a very happy and constructive time at Epilepsy Action. At the end of her year there she emerged as a much more confident person.

"We are really grateful to them for that.

"We are also very pleased that the run continues to be a popular and successful event and we'll support it in any way we can.

"Alice was a very enthusiastic person who enjoyed life to the full and the run continues in her memory.

"We hope it will be even more successful than last year."

Alice's Run takes place on Sunday, at Brearley field in Mytholmroyd and finishes at nearby Calder High School.

All finishers will get a t-shirt, while there will be prizes for the first three men and women as well as veterans.

A one-mile junior trail race will also take place in the school field at 10.45am and there will be entertainment for supporters too.

Alternatively, runners can sign up on the day.
