FILM of a rock singer's death fall was being studied by police and health and safety officers, an inquest was told.
Patrick Sherry, a singer with the group Bad Beat Revue, died last Thursday morning, shortly after the accident.
A CT scan at Leeds General Infirmary showed he had suffered a fractured skull and subdural haemorrhage, said coroner's officer Sarah Atkin.
"He was regarded as critically ill," she said. "So much so that surgery was not an option."
Dancing
Mrs Atkin said Mr Sherry , 29, married, of North Street, Silsden, near Keighley, was a shopfitter by trade and singer by night.
He was performing at the Warehouse Club in Somers Street, Leeds on Wednesday night when CCTV footage showed him dancing on the stage.
Mrs Atkin said: "Then it appeared as if he jumped towards a roof beam, which he initially managed to take hold of but then lost his grip and fell to the dance floor below."
The inquest was adjourned for further inquiries.
