A MAN was due in court today after a police officer was injured trying to stop a coach.
The officer leapt on to the 24-seat Mercedes alleged to have been stolen from J&B Travel in Horsforth, Leeds.

It was being driven at about 30mph near Beverley on Saturday morning. The Humberside officer, believed to be in his 30s, suffered nose and face injuries.

A 25-year-old man from Pontefract was due to appear before magistrates today charged with attempted wounding with intent, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, aggravated vehicle taking and driving while disqualified.
