A man has appeared in court charged with arson and assault and two teenagers have been charged with witness intimidation following a police investigation into three fire attacks in Leeds.
The charges follow a police investigation into the incidents involving a fire bombing of a house door and two cars on the Broom estate at Belle Isle, Leeds, over a ten day period last month.
Stephen Wilson, 34, of Broom Place, appeared charged with arson, arson with intent to endanger life, assault, and witness intimidation.
A 15-year-old girl from the Broom estate, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with witness intimidation and breach of an antisocial behaviour order, and a 15-year-old boy also from the same estate, who can also not be named is charged with witness intimidation.
The arson attacks happened between Sunday, October 19 and Wednesday October 29.
Holbeck CID and the Rothwell Neighbourhood Policing Team today made a further appeal for witnesses and information about the three arsons.
In the first attack on Broom Close between 7.30pm and 10.30pm on October 19 a red Honda Civic was the subject of the attack.
The second incident occurred on Broom Place, shortly after 10pm on Tuesday October 28 when an object was thrown at the door of a house in the street. The third attack, an attempted arson, happened the following day between 9pm and 9.15pm on Broom Mount, when a bottle of petrol was thrown at a red BMW 316.
Insp Sue Jenkinson of the Rothwell NPT said: "These arsons were targeted attacks, and we continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward."
