Just over a decade later he was homeless and has had to take on jobs at McDonalds and his local YMCA to get by.

Event promoter Robbie Sond said: "Leon has had some amazing ups and downs and I'm sure a lot of people in Leeds will want to get the chance to meet one of their heroes."
Spinks won gold at the 1976 Montreal Olympics before turning professional.
He made history in February 1978 when he beat Ali in a 15-round decision in Las Vegas.
But just seven months later he lost to the ageing Ali.
Also speaking at the event will be former WBC Welterweight world champion John H Stracey, left.
