Concern is mounting for the welfare of a 13-year-old Leeds girl missing for more than a fortnight.
Kelly McGowan, pictured, left her home in East Park View in East End Park, Leeds, on the morning of Wednesday April 23 and has not returned home.

Kelly, a pupil of Lawnswood High School failed to arrived for lessons that day and has not attended school since.

There have been sightings of Kelly in the Leeds area since her disappearance. The last sighting of her was on Wednesday evening this week when she was seen by a school friend at Morrisons store at the Merrion Centre in Leeds. Previously she was last spotted near to the premises of Primark in The Headrow in Leeds city centre on May 4 between 3pm and 3.30pm when she was dressed in jeans. On that occasion she was spotted by a friend who was unaware that she had already been reported missing from home.

Kelly has gone missing in the past, but police believe she is vulnerable and are eager to locate her quickly for her own safety.

When she first disappeared Kelly had left home wearing her school uniform, including black trousers, a black jumper, a white blouse and a grey hooded fleece jacket

Police have appealed for anyone with information about Kelly's whereabouts to ring them on 0845 6060606.

Kelly, if you are reading this please let people know

where you are. If people are encouraging you to stay

hidden they are not helping you.

Go somewhere safe where there are people.
