Christmas has come early for pensioners on a Morley housing estate – around 100 of them are to be treated to a free festive lunch.
Morley Town Council's Community Development Committee has approved a grant to pay for up to 100 Christmas dinners for elderly people on the Glen Estate.

Mayor of Morley and town councillor for the estate, Coun Shirley Varley, said: "Many pensione
rs welcome an opportunity to get together at Christmas time and this project will help to combat loneliness and bring the community together."
