A molester turned rapist has been jailed indefinitely for sex attacks in Harrogate ten years apart.
In April 1998 Gary Wright, 45, sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl in a late night attack near the town's Valley Gardens, Leeds Crown Court heard.
In July 2008 6ft 4ins tall Wright raped a 25-year-old woman in her home after plying her with so much vodka she was unable to talk or walk.
Wright denied the offences but was convicted of both after two trials.
Handing Wright an indeterminate sentence for public protection, Judge John Taylor said he posed a "significant risk of serious harm to teenage girls and women."
Prosecutor, Simon Kealey, said Wright was cycling in Harrogate town centre when he grabbed and sexually assaulted the schoolgirl at around 11pm as she walked home from a wake at a pub.
She didn't report the attack to police until she spotted Wright in Harrogate town centre years later.
He was arrested in January this year.
Mr Kealey said Wright, of Albert Place, Starbeck, Harrogate, took a bottle of vodka to a 25-year-old woman's home in July last year.
They drank vodka and watched a DVD.
Mr Kealey said: "Shortly after she said she felt heavy and couldn't move or speak. He dragged her upstairs and she next recalls waking up in bed with no trousers or underwear on."
Wright raped the woman as her children slept in neighbouring bedrooms.
When police went to Wright's home they discovered stolen property including a TV, clothes and chocolates.
He admitted acquiring criminal property.
Judge Taylor told Wright he will not be considered for parole for at least four years and will only be released when no longer deemed a danger to women.
Wright's name will be on the Sex Offender Register for life.
