GOLD medal hopefuls from the Great Britain wheelchair basketball squad showed off some suitably-sparkling skills during a training camp in Leeds.

The three-day get-together was held at Leeds Metropolitan University's Carnegie Sports Centre as part of the squad's preparations for the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing.

Players were put through their paces on court and in the centre's sports and conditioning room.

They also got the chance to analyse technical aspects of their game using state-of-the-art computer programmes.

Praising the facilities at Leeds Met, head coach Murray Treseder said: "The university has made us feel very welcome. We couldn't have asked for more."
