PLANNERS are fighting to save employment land in the centre of Guiseley.
They refused permission for Springfield Works, in Otley Road, to be demolished and replaced with two blocks totalling 23 flats.

An appeal by Chartford Homes Ltd will now go to an informal public inquiry.

Planning officer Christine Naylor said the flats would cause a loss of valuable employment land.
