A man suffered serious facial injuries in an early-morning assault in Leeds city centre.
Four men were outside the Chicken Cottage on New Briggate at 2.30am last Friday when they were approached by a pair of men.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said there was a "verbal altercation" and one of the two punched a member of the other group on the side of his face before running away.
The victim suffered serious, but non life-threatening facial injuries.
Both men were white and around 5ft 8ins. One was stocky, in his late 20s with short light brown hair and was wearing a black top.
The second was smaller, with very short hair, in his early 20s and was wearing a white and blue top.
Witnesses or anyone with information should contact Holbeck CID via 0845 6060606.
