The donation by the wardrobe department at Yorkshire TV marks the first time Barnardo's have been able to offer celebrity gear to their clientele

Shop manager Richard Kelly said he is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds from the earrings worn by the star who joined Emmerdale a year ago, after award-winning roles in LA Law and films like Castaway.
Amanda's jewellery is now up for grabs at the auction on Saturday, December 19.

The seasonal donation is not the first time Emmerdale has backed Barnardo's in its work to help deprived children.

TV stars have previously helped at photocalls for fund-raising campaigns.
