A country hotel in West Yorkshire has undergone the first stage of a £1.2m makeover.
A total of £500,000 has been ploughed into the Chevin Country Park Hotel and Spa in Otley, including the refurbishment of 22 lodge cabin rooms, the creation of three self-catering log cabins and a new Sonas Spa treatment room.
More than £700,000 will be spent in the coming months to expand the existing leisure club, create a destination Sonas Spa, nine more executive bedrooms and refurbish the existing Woodlands Suite function space.
General manager Enda Rylands said: "The hotel has undergone a real transformation and we're thrilled with the results.
"Along with the newly refurbished lodge rooms, the Sonas Spa is a great addition to our leisure offering and within our idyllic setting makes the Chevin Country Park Hotel and Spa the ultimate escape from the daily grind."
Paddy Crerar, left, chief executive of owners Crerar Hotels, said: "Business at the Chevin Country Park Hotel and Spa is booming and our investment will provide customers with a superior experience.
"The new spa treatment room has been exceptionally popular and we plan to capitalise on this by continuing to expand on our leisure offering.
"We also expect that our new self catering lodges will be extremely popular with families and groups of friends who are looking to slow down and enjoy a relaxing break."
