Sheffield-born singer and pianist Paul Carrack originally found fame with Ace, and their No 1 hit How Long, but you'll probably know him better as the singer with Genesis guitarist Mike Rutherford's Mike And The Mechanics, whose Living Years album and single were huge hits.
Over the years Carrack has also worked with Squeeze, The Smiths, Simply Red, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Roger Waters, guesting on over 60 albums as well as writing for The Eagles, Diana Ross, Tom Jones, Michael McDonald and Jools Holland among others.

Currently on tour in support of his recently-released new album, I Know That Name, Carrack plays at Leeds Grand Theatre on Friday, December 12.
Tickets are £24.50. Contact the box office on 0113 222 6222.
