A vacant site in Pudsey is to be transformed after the Gregory Property Group gained planning approval for twelve new houses.

The site, off Intake Road, was previously occupied by the Wood-Mitchell Building Group but has been vacant following many years in commercial use.

Work on the two-bedroom town houses, which will be aimed at first time buyers, started this week. The firm hopes to complete the project by spring 2017.

Andrew Foggitt, commercial director, said: “We are pleased to be able to progress this particular scheme which is situated in a popular residential location in the heart of Pudsey.

“A lot of the immediate area has been transformed to provide much needed housing, and in line with current government guidance, we are converting this former manufacturing site into residential use to enable first time buyers to get onto the housing ladder.”
