Friendship is one of life’s greatest pleasures and one business has been instrumental in helping to establish many friendship bonds and has seen firsthand how important friends can be. That is why leading housebuilder Miller Homes is supporting National Friendship Month which takes place during September.

Miller Homes has been building communities across the region for many years and has seen friendships burgeon and blossom as its residents settle into their brand new homes.

“Having good neighbours and friends can make a real difference to people’s quality of life and have a real effect on how they settle into their new home,” said Steve McElroy sales director Miller Homes Yorkshire. “We were one of the first housebuilders to develop an online forum exclusive to our homeowners where they can interact and engage with their neighbours and others on the same development, if they so wish.”

During the month hundreds of events will be staged across the UK encouraging people to make new friends ranging from friendship walks to coffee mornings.

Miller Homes has also supported existing friendships with its unique ‘Recommend a Friend’ Scheme where existing residents can recommend Miller Homes to a friend. The scheme could see those that recommend receive £1,000 and is available at developments across the region subject to qualifying conditions.

“We have helped many buyers since the inception of our scheme and also seen endless friendships forged either by cementing old friendships or helping to create new ones from our youngest to our oldest.”
