Children are being urged to put their imagination to the test in a drawing competition launched by a regional builder.

Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire is offering a Lego Creator House set, worth around £50, as the prize in its competition.

The company is asking children to draw a picture on the theme ‘Dream Home for Christmas’.

The contest has been launched as part of the builder’s countdown to Christmas and the sales team hopes youngsters in the region will let their imagination run riot.

Simon Whalley, sales director for Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, said: “Christmas is a wonderful family time when dreams really can come true, which prompted the theme for our competition. Of course, this Lego prize could really be the icing on the cake for one lucky youngster.”

The competition will run from until November 7. Entrants should draw their picture of a Dream Home for Christmas on an A4 piece of paper and can use any medium. They can take their entry to their nearest Persimmon or Charles Church marketing suite or post it to Sales Department, Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, 3 Hepton Court, York Road, Leeds, LS9 6PW.

The winner will be able to explore their own construction skills, creating a range of different style houses from the Creator kit.

Simon added: “We hope this competition really sparks children’s imaginations across the region and look forward to seeing their entries.”

Anyone wishing to move for Christmas could also be enjoying the festivities in their own dream home through the builder’s part exchange scheme.
