A leading house builder is preparing for more growth with the appointment of further staff.

Miller Homes, which is planning to unveil at least two new developments in 2016, has extended its on site manager team with the appointment of Michael Jenkinson, 53, and John Firth, 24, both from Leeds.

“It’s most pleasing to be in a position where we can employ Michael as site manager for our new development in Killinghall, Harrogate and also John as a trainee who will begin his management career with us,” said Paul Ramsbottom Build Manager Miller Homes Yorkshire. “As we continue to add more developments to our portfolio we need extra resilience to ensure we meet build targets and provide quality homes for our customers.”

Michael joins the team from an experienced background in housebuilding and John seized the opportunity to move onto larger construction projects after working on and managing small independent sites in the past.

“Miller Homes’ reputation for customer service and high quality homes really appealed to me and was the only housebuilder that I really wanted to learn my skills from,” said John. “I’m looking forward to a long career with them and having such a good team as my mentors.”

Michael concluded, “I’m very much looking forward to working with the Miller Homes team and my build team at Chene Hall development. It’s always an exciting time to begin a brand new development and I am sure we will achieve great things together.”

Miller Homes has nine developments across the region at the moment with build due to commence imminently on new developments.
