Following a hugely successful 2012 campaign where the Manning Stainton team raised an amazing £70,000 for charity, the company is proud to once again support Macmillan Cancer Support.

The launch of ‘Mannings for Macmillan 2014’ will mark the second time the estate agent has backed the cancer charity.

During 2012, Manning Stainton exceeded their initial target of raising £50,000 to fund a Macmillan nurse for a year.

Because of their incredible support, Macmillan were able to reach more people affected by cancer than ever before last year.

Sales director Mark Manningsaid: “This is a charity close to the hearts of our team, a cause that has touched and affected so many. We loved working with Macmillan in 2012 and it was an easy decision to choose them again as our charity of the year. We’re challenging ourselves to raise £50,000, so stay tuned for our year of events.”

Throughout the year Manning Stainton will be hosting a number of events across Leeds.

Clara White, fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support in Leeds said: “We are delighted to have the support of Manning Stainton. Macmillan is funded almost entirely by donations so we quite simply couldn’t do it without them. Their contribution in 2012 blew us away and made such a huge difference to the lives of local cancer patients. Every penny they raise this year will continue to help us get closer to our goal of making sure no-one faces cancer alone.”

Macmillan fund nurses at St James’s Hospital and LGI and provide a free cancer support helpline based in Shipley.
