A Leeds estate agent has stepped forward to give a local Scout leader the trip of a lifetime.
Dacre, Son & Hartley’s North Leeds office is supporting a junior Scout leader who is embarking on an adventure to climb Morocco’s highest mountain, trek across the Sahara Desert on a camel and work with local communities in Toundoute, Morocco.
Grace, who lives in West Park, and is an apprentice beauty therapist said: “There are 36 of us from across Yorkshire Scouts going to Morocco in July and we’ll be there for three and a half weeks.
“During this time we’ll be taking part in all types of activities and working with local communities.
“I’m raising all of the funds for the trip myself as well as paying for all my injections and equipment so it was great when Dacre, Son & Hartley offered their support because it’s not easy raising such a large amount of money.”
Paul Wilson, area manager for Leeds and the Wharfe Valley at Dacre, Son & Hartley, which operates 20 offices across West and North Yorkshire says: “As a successful local business we’re always keen to encourage young people to do things out the ordinary.
“Grace’s trip to Africa is a unique opportunity and she’ll be helping local communities at the same time, so we are delighted to help her raise the money she needs.
“She did a great job for us helping in our office and I’m sure she’ll have a fantastic experience.”
