Have your say

over the years Neil Gough has watched hundreds of families grow up across Leeds – all from his beloved market stall.

The 42-year-old, who is the manager of Neil’s Greengrocers at Leeds Kirkgate Market, loves nothing more than working hard to make sure residents in the city have a healthy diet.

And his thriving plot, which has been in business for more than three decades, is certainly growing places following rapid expansion over the years.

He said: “Market life is hard and you’ve got to graft hard but it will be whatever you want it to be.

“If you work hard then the rewards are great.”

He added: “With a lot of my customers, we know them well.

“We know their families and we’ve seen their children grow up.”
