Raise a glass to this season’s red wine tones. Lisa Haynes cleanses the sequin palette with Burgundy, Bordeaux and Beaujolais.

Forget fancy cocktails and bottles of fizz, this time of year is all about a gigantic splash of red – when it comes to your wardrobe, at least.

It seems the fashion world has become a little intoxicated with the dark grape variety, with a myriad of oxblood and berry tones that resemble a bottle of vintage plonk.

Whether you want to cosy up in a claret coat, or dazzle with a shiraz sequin dress, you can go overboard with red wine tones – minus the morning-after hangover.

Uncork the finest in fashion. Unlike the real tipple, you don’t have to wait for a good year to truly indulge...
