Thanks to the weather and the festivities, many of us have hair that’s weakened and damaged, having been teased, sprayed, pulled, blow-dried, straightened, curled and then rained on for weeks and weeks. If you dye your hair (and who doesn’t?) Olaplex, details below, is an impressively effective repair treatment that you can have in salon, mixed in with the colourant, and there’s a take home version to use pre and between dyeing. Also consider oils to leave in your hair overnight. You can buy them but try olive or coconut oil as a cheap alternative from your own kitchen (you might like to wear a shower cap if you like your pillows).

Continental quilting: Quilting is the must-have statement take for AW17 cosy dressing, as massive puffa coats provide daring takes on outerwear. Some come in wallpaper prints, some in satins in vibrant mustard and jewel brights, and Stella McCartney teamed a muddy green oversized quilted coat with tweeds and a silk headscarf, like a blown-up version of the Queen.
