How Israel ignores the world
Rather than being concerned about where British activists/ human rights observers get their money, maybe P Brooke (Letters, June 14) should be more concerned as to where Israel gets its money from
Seven million US dollars A DAY from the USA, for Israel to use in its illegal occupation of Palestinian territories, the construction of illegal settlements, its barbaric blockade of Gaza, subjecting 1.4 million civilians to collective punishment... it is a disgrace that Israel has been allowed to get away for so long with abuse of the Palestinian people, it is a disgrace that many governments and organisations of the world are complicit with Israel.
Attacking an unarmed aid flotilla in darkness, and committing the despicable acts of piracy, kidnapping and murder in international waters clearly shows the world how Israel does not care what the rest of the world thinks, it knows it can act with impunity as it has done so for decades.
P Brooke's assertion that 'Israel is fighting for its very existence' is a cynical, preposterous lie that is perpetuated to justify Israel's illegal actions, war crimes and general vile conduct.

P Brooke's letter seems a poor attempt to slander the murdered activists on the Gaza flotilla.
He does not understand why Israel is so unpopular today.
Israel wages illegal pre-emptive war on all its neighbours, steals their land, and bombs women and children in Gaza while conducting an illegal blockade.
It also sends death squads abroad to murder opponents using forged British passports and conducts piracy and murder on the high seas to prevent peaceful protest.
It is in breach of numerous UN resolutions including holding a large stockpile of illegal nuclear weapons.
Israel is a rogue state that conducts its warmongering business without any reference to international law, or any sense of justice for the Palestinian people who are forcibly displaced, starved and killed at will.
