Shelbourne a move too far for Leeds fans

I WAS wondering whether it would be possible to highlight the moving of Leeds United's fixture with Shelbourne on their Irish tour.
As usual the fans have suffered. I have just lost £100 because of this. Suffice to say, I will be re-booking as I follow Leeds everywhere I can. Yet the club know that fans will follow them in their droves and to a degree become expendable by LUFC.

It's not on, as if the lunchtime fixtures for every away game until the next century were not enough, we're footing the bill as usual. Will LUFC be reimbursing me? I don't think so. I have saved hard all year for this tour and it all goes down the pan in an instant.

I would appreciate if this matter could be brought to the attention of other fans as it has affected an enormous amount of hardcore fans.

PLEASE could you look into another example of Leeds United 'walking all over the fans'.

The United game in Ireland with Shelbourne has now been moved to Wednesday from Thursday, having been advertised since May to allow time for all the fans to book hotels and flights.

I and my mates stand to lose up to £200 due to the date change at such a late date. There has been no apology on United's official website.

I WOULD just like to say how disgusted I am with my club Leeds United.

With them now changing the Shelbourne game with little over three weeks until it kicks off I'm now stuck with tickets, flights and hotel for the following day instead of the original date.

My wife and I got married at Elland Road and this was our second year anniversary, which has been ruined.

I've e-mailed Shelbourne and they have informed me that Leeds United changed the fixture to help with preperation for the Barnet game.

It's disgraceful. Why arrange the game then for the Thursday?

I've saved, borrowed and done a silly amount of overtime just to be able to go and this is how the club repay the fans. I've e-mailed Leeds but have had no response.

Leeds United have lambasted other clubs who have changed fixtures and even the way Birmingham and Doncaster handled their postponements, and what do Leeds United give us? Not even an apology or offer of other re-imbursement.

The following is a statement from Leeds United: The above mentioned fixture was originally scheduled for Thursday, July 24 but was changed after discussions with Shelbourne to Wednesday, July 23 when that date became available following the draw for the Champions League qualifying round which saw no other games in Dublin that night.

The reason for the change was to provide a better balance of games and recovery time on the Ireland trip before travelling to Barnet on the Friday.

The extra day recovery we could achieve by moving the fixture was viewed as vital to help avoid muscular injuries.

We received a total of 11 complaints about the switch of dates.
