AS the smug Bradford and Bingley lady in a luminous green jacket hangs up her bowler hat for the last time
and as HBOS's Howard falls off his surfboard into the foaming sea of economic turbulence, we are left in Lloyd TSB's creepy, parallel universe, where seemingly lobotomised, pointy-faced people take endless train journeys to nowhere. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.
