Respect on two fronts
Published Date:

ON November 11 at 11am, my work colleagues and I proudly paid our respect by observing two minutes silence for the fallen heroes and the brave men and women at war.
In the same breath I would also like to thank, and pay my respect, to the nurses on ward 62, the colorectal unit at the LGI, who day in day out, do an unpleasant job of changing colostomy bags, and washing bed-bound patients and at the same time managing to respect the patients' dignity; all done with a smile on their face.
I spent two nights in hospital on this ward and have nothing but praise for two different but equally wonderful men and women. I also observed a cleaner cleaning our ward, and an hour later it been checked by another person – excellent.
