RSPCA promise

READING about the price of vets (Letters, July 30) reminded me of the RSPCA who were in the Kirkstall Road area of Leeds until they closed, selling up for around £3m about two years ago.
We were promised new headquarters when suitable land was found but I doubt this will every happen. We do have the PDSA York Road where no charge is made to see a vet, just a donation that you can afford, although you must get a form stamped by your rent or benefits office and emergency treatment can be carried out while you do this.
