I wonder in any survivors of that era (early 1930s) can add to following list of pubs in that area at the time, scattered among the alphabet streets in nearby Middle Road?

The Sussex, Sutclife, Adelphi, Rutland, Imperial, Australian, Twenty Six, North Hall Tavern, Highland Laddie, Lloyds Arms etc. These were the days when Jim Windsor was lord of the manor.

In addition, I would appreciate confirmation of the belief I hold that one of the Bedford family played rugby for Headingley and Yorks RU.
