LAST Friday (November 14) on my way to the bank to pay some bills, I lost an envelope with my cheque/bank and Visa details in it.

I later found out that a very kind gentleman had handed it in to the bank. I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to this kind Samaritan. There was information contained in the envelope that, had it ben found by someone dishonest, would have created untold misery for me.

The bank was no help at all, they were supposed to contact me if it was indeed my cheque etc, that had been handed in.

They did not call me and I had to put my Visa card on hold.

When I went to see them on Tuesday, they still had the cheque etc, and had done nothing about it even though they were aware that it was my cheque with my telephone number on the back, they were to let me know.

I will of course be much more careful in future and never again rely on the bank to do as they say. Thank you again to this very thoughtful man.
