With regard to Mr Pearson's sarcastic suggestions as to what Gordon Brown could do to help him be more popular with the public and media, being an economic genius is not enough.
Here are a few more ideas for the hapless Mr Brown. He should go on free holidays to rich peoples villas, enter into another war, entertain celebrities in Downing Street after he's learned to play the guitar and get his pleasant, low- profile wife to have a go at the chap next door.
That should do the trick.
