SO THE bosses of Countdown have finally found Carol Vorderman out! She has been well past her sell- by date for quite some time.
The show has never been the same since the untimely death of "Richard" (Whiteley] who was quite rightly called Mr Countdown.

They tried boring, depressing Des Lynam with Vorderman who kept putting in her unwanted two pennyworth. That spelt disaste
r.

Then there's a light at the end of the tunnel with Des O'Connor. Des tried his best, but unfortunately Vorderman continued to be there. With that to contend with, no wonder he called it a day.

Now Carol and her admiring sidekick, Kathryn (Apanowicz, Mr Whiteley's partner], are trying to rubbish Myleene Klass who hasn't even got the job yet. Meow! Has someone spilled the milk?

Don't let's forget, "she wasn't sacked, she resigned."

I know the bosses expected her to struggle on £100,000 a year, but she still has the comfort of her millions to fall back on. All achieved through her association with Countdown.

Why can't you just move on and be grateful and stop telling us Richard wouldn't like this or that?

As for Carol being irreplaceable, it's not only laughable, it's ridiculous. The world's full of Mr & Mrs Indispensable people, but life goes on.

Just think Carol, you can just sit back and criticise whoever gets the job and tell all the media she is not as good as you.

To Countdown – keep the proven format. Just bring in new blood and don't go for another old man for the chair – for starters someone like Vernon Kay or Tess Daly, someone with young blood and charisma.

A last question. Why does it have be a man in the chair?
