I have just been a patient in the new cancer unit at St James's Hospital in Leeds on ward 84. I was admitted over 2½ weeks ago for a major lung operation.
From the moment I was admitted into this ward I was given five-star treatement. They also saved my life after the operation and when I tried to thank them, their response was "its fine, were doing out job". The nursers and doctors on this ward treat every person as an individual. Even the cleaning staff are amazing, they helped me recover twice as fast.
