I WAS saddened to read your article about Yorkshire's cruelty to animals. How could anyone allow a beautiful boxer dog starve?
As an animal lover and dog owner I was disgusted to think that a woman could allow this to happen. It doesn't cost a lot to feed an animal, but if it should be that she couldn't afford to feed them then she should not have taken the dog in the first place.

This poor animal has suffered by this woman's hands and because of the way it was ill-treated became very possessive about food (not his fault), so much so that he had to be put to sleep.

My little dog was fretting for his companion who at the grand old age of 11 years had to be put to sleep in January this year.

Both of my daughters have dogs, one has two dogs and the other has two Rotties and a border collie. All are very well fed and cared for.

The punishment for such cruelty should be more severe then these callous owners would probably think twice.
