Jermaine Beckford is Gary McAllister's primary cause for concern again as Leeds United's manager decides whether to gamble on the striker's fitness for the second time in four days.
Beckford is United's only doubt for tonight's League One play-off semi-final second leg at Carlisle United, but the forward was hoping to be given the all-clear this morning after two days of treatment.

McAllister named him in United's starting line-up for the first leg at Elland Road on Monday evening but having seen two goalbound shots saved by Carlisle goalkeeper Keiren Westwood in the opening half-hour, Beckford was withdrawn as a precaution on 58 minutes.

The 24-year-old will play at Brunton Park if McAllister is convinced about the reliability of his ankle, but Tresor Kandol and Anthony Elding are waiting in the wings and ready to step in should Beckford fail to prove his fitness.

McAllister said: "It was plain to see that he wasn't 100 per cent the other night.

"I took a gamble and barring a fantastic save from Westwood, he would have got us a goal.

"I've got a tough decision to make. He's responding to treatment and it's settled again but it's a late call." Other changes, meanwhile, are not unlikely after the uninspired performance produced by Leeds in Monday's 2-1 defeat.

McAllister is still unable to call on full-back Alan Sheehan, whose three-match suspension incurred at Yeovil ends after tonight's match, and Bradley Johnson may be asked to remain on the left side of defence.

Andrew Hughes and Sebastien Carole provide possible alternatives in midfield – an area of the pitch where McAllister's team struggled in the first leg.

United from: Ankergren, Richardson, Kenton, Huntington, Michalik, Marques, Hughes, Kilkenny, Douglas, Howson, Johnson, Prutton, Thompson, Carole, Sweeney, Beckford, Freedman, Kandol, Elding, Lucas.
