EXCLUSIVE
Leeds United have been charged by the Football Association over allegations that an unlicensed agent was used in the transfer of striker Anthony Elding to Elland Road.
United are accused of dealing with an unregistered representative during their negotiations to sign Elding from Stockport County in January of this year, breaching the FA's strict rules relating to agents.

Elding joined Leeds on a free transfer on the final day of the January transfer window and has since left United to join Crewe Alexandra, who visit Elland Road for a League One clash next Saturday.

A statement issued by United read: "The charge is being considered by the club and our advisors at the current time, therefore it would be inappropriate to make any further comment other than to confirm that no payment has been made or is alleged to have been made to the agent involved in respect of the transfer."
