Former Leeds legend Gary McAllister has been made the red hot favourite for the vacant Leeds United manager's job.
It follows a flurry of bets from punters 'prepared to back him at any price' which has led to William Hill to slash the odds about Gary McAllister becoming the next Leeds boss from 4/1 joint favourite to red hot 1/25 clear favourite.

"People are ringing up wanting to back McAllister without even asking what the odds are." said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

"This suggests that at the very least talks are taking place - McAllister was a serious contender when Wise got the job."

Latest William Hill Leeds' boss odds: 1/25 McAllister; 8 Bassett; 14 Adams; McClaren; 16 Ince; Newell; Souness; Shearer; 20 Sheridan;Hoddle; Vialli.
