Gary McAllister is expected to make a number of changes to his team at Port Vale tomorrow in the wake of Leeds United's defeat to Cheltenham Town.
United's 2-1 at Elland Road on Tuesday evening followed one of their least impressive performances of the League One season, and the costly result may give several players a fresh opportunity at Vale Park.

On-loan striker Dougie Freedman is in contention for a starting place after two appearances as a substitute and could replace Tresor Kandol, while McAllister may also move to alter his defence ahead of a match which United cannot afford to waste.

Frazer Richardson's position at left-back is under threat after his mistake led to the opening goal during Tuesday's defeat, and Paul Huntington will come into the equation if United's manager decides to change his current first-choice centre-back pairing of Rui Marques and Lubomir Michalik.

Andrew Hughes, meanwhile, is vying for a return to the first team and the versatile 30-year-old provides an alternative at both left-back and in midfield.

Alan Thompson (thigh) is expected to be absent though McAllister has no new injury concerns. Jonathan Douglas is edging ever closer to a return from a knee injury but tomorrow's game may come too early.
Striker Tore Andre Flo announced his professional retirement on Tuesday and has left Elland Road.

United: Ankergren, Kenton, Richardson, Marques, Michalik, Huntington, Heath, Sheehan, Prutton, Hughes, Howson, Kilkenny, Johnson, Sweeney, Sorsa, Carole, Kandol, Beckford, Elding, Freedman, Lucas.
