THE wait is over and Leeds United are back - the Whites returning to pre-season training today ahead of a fresh assault on League One as the bookmakers' favourites.

Boss Gary McAllister put his players through their paces at United's Thorp Arch training facility including new recruits Andy Robinson and Alan Sheehan.

United have been made this year's favourites without the burden of a 15 point deduction which last season saw them miss out on automatic promotion and suffer heartache in the play-offs.

Leeds' pre-season steps up another gear next Friday with their first friendly, away at York City.
