General manager Alan Williams is hoping for a gate of a thousand plus when Harrogate Town host a Leeds United XI on tomorrow afternoon (kick-off 3pm).
Town have made widescale changes to last season's squad and have began pre-season in a low key manner – Tuesday night's 4-0 defeat of Ossett Town following Saturday's 2-0 loss at Whitby Town.
Crowds

Matters go up a gear with Leeds on Saturday and Williams hopes the crowds come out in force at the newly-named CNG Stadium, despite United's first team playing at Barnet the same afternoon.

"I'm sure they'll have a few first teamers and we'd like to get over a thousand," said Williams.

"It should be a nice sunny day so let's have everyone enjoying the afternoon and start putting our plans into place.

"What better way to do that than against Leeds United."

Town's first pre-season friendly ended in defeat, a Richard Forster penalty and a strike from former forward Tony Hackworth handing Whitby Town a 2-0 victory on Saturday.

New signing Matty Young went closest for Town hitting the crossbar, but Harrogate were more prolific on Tuesday night, with a 4-0 defeat of Ossett Town.

All of 'Gate's goals came from new arrivals – striker Jamie Smith grabbing a brace with Young and Justin Whittle also on the scoresheet.
Town have made a host of summer signings – the latest of which is 18-year-old attacking midfielder Liam Ormsby – son of former Leeds United skipper Brendan. Ormsby is a product of Barnsley's football academy.
