Tottenham Hotspur are poised to join the fight for Fabian Delph's signature by submitting a multi-million pound bid for the Leeds United midfielder.
An offer from White Hart Lane is imminent after Aston Villa and Everton made plain their interest in recruiting United's England Under-21 international.
Villa had a bid rejected by Leeds last week and another offer – understood to have come from Everton – was also turned down by the Elland Road club as the race to prise Delph away began in earnest.
Tottenham have assessed Delph over a long period and a member of their scouting team was at last Sunday's pre-season friendly against York City when the teenage ace completed a 45-minute outing.
